Our clinic is equipped with a Canon Digital X-Ray System. Digital x-rays are superior to conventional systems for many reasons. Besides being quicker and in some cases allowing lower exposure times. They produce quality radiographs, which can be post processed to give very sharp images and allow manipulation of the image to enlarge or enhance on a particular area, reverse or flip images, or enlarge the entire picture. All this allows better scrutiny of the view while decreasing the number of x-rays taken. Since many of our patients aren’t accommodating when it comes to sitting perfectly still, the above features cut down on the number of retakes. In addition to all these attributes, digital radiography does not use chemicals in it's processing, thus reducing the effect on our environment and allowing the Tottenham Animal Clinic to reduce its carbon footprint.
